THIS TOURNAMENT is dedicated to the memory of Mr. John DeLuca and Mr. Andrew Bruner, two men who had accom-plished so much in their lifetime to keep the Valley View Golf Club in existence and who have been sadly lost to us during the year. Mr. DeLuca, owner of the DeLuca Importing Company, was directly responsible for the gift of the Seagram Distilleries' handsome annual trophies, shown in the center of the photo, and for other financial assistance. Mr. Bruner, formerly of Andy's Liquor Store and a past president of the Valley View Golf Club, was also a generous donor to the club. At the same time we would like to honor and to dedicate this program book to Mr. Stratten, recreation director of the City of San Francisco and winner of our first annual Tournament. McMillan SCENES SHOWING WIDE SCOPE OF ACTIVITY AT EL MOROCCO CLUB, WHERE MR. Q. B. BUSH IS CASINO MANAGER Course Rules U.S.G.A. and Course Rules will govern play. The Rules Commit-tee, comprised of five members — Chairman Marshall Branch, Jimmy Gay, Lorenza Calhoun, Richard Shephard, "Punch" Huges Hughes — will handle any and all matters pertaining to rules and controversies that may arise. The Committee decisions will be final and without appeal. One member in each foursome will act as a marshal and will attempt to settle any dispute or question that may arise, and then a note shall be made of the incident and the matter referred to the Rules Committee for their decision. The players involved will not sign their score cards until such time as the incident has been ruled upon by the Committee. A complete copy of the Course Rules will be provided each player before he begins play.
