We had to pay the regular commission o f 25$ on th is which on $400. amounted to $100.00 leaving $300.00 to be divided between you and I and Carter, he getting h a lf and we the other ha3f, so I w ill on Monday place to your credit at the First National $75.00 At the time we bought th is stock i f you remember your part was paid far from my private account and also from the firm account, as I have had to draw some money fo r personal use from the Company within the last two months I drew enough to balance what had been paid out fo r your stock, the amount being $150.00 so now you owe me nothing from the proceeds o f th is sa le. I w ill also place to your credit at the bank $233.81 which is the amount due you fo r your h alf Of the proceeds o f settlement on the Blaine street house, a fter deducting the $38.85 which is the balance you owed me on the furniture o f the O ffice, the to ta l amount received on the Blaine street house was $545.32. Now in regard to se llin g more o f our O'Briens stock it is up to you s to say i f you want to or n ot. Carter and I thought we would s e ll enough to return us the amount we paid fo r it so as to stand even, but you le t me know in the next le tte r i f th is is sa tisfa ctory to you. . < ; placer In regard to our Oregoiyproperty one ftf the men we sent up there returned yesterday and brings glowing reports, says fo r us to not do too much talking so as to put anyone sxk else on to it or they might rush in and defeat us from making more loca tion s.
