Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada

Originally founded in 1965, the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada is a government agency maintains and administers public mass transit throughout Southern Nevada, with a focus in the Las Vegas Valley. The agency creates transit plans and programs to adhere to approved air quality standards, improve the quality of life of users, and meet the demands of Southern Nevada’s changing demographics. The RTC also manages fund distribution pertaining to regional, street, and highway construction and county sales tax designated for transportation.

The RTC’s original name was Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Southern Nevada, which was changed in 1981 to its current name.
