Nye Rancher Dies Today

"Tonopah - O. K. Reed, widely known sixty-seven year old Nye rancher died Monday following a long illness.
Mr. Reed was born in Unionville, NV and spent his early life in Humboldt County. He came to Tonopah a few years after the camp was discovered where he worked in the mines. A few years later he started a cattle business which grew to be one of the counties largest. He retired seven years ago and spent his time between Tonopah and his ranch home.
He leaves two daughters, Mrs. James Butler and Mrs. Edward Slavin, both of Tonopah; two brothers, Edward Reed of Tonopah and Kin Reed of Elko; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Sharps of Nivloc and Mrs. Harry Robinson of Dinuba and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock and burial will be in Tonopah Cemetery."

O.K. Reed and his wife Maude must have divorced as she is found in her sons obit as Mrs. George Bruno and O.K. Sr is still living at that time.
