Miller, Nolan, 1933-2012

Nolan Miller was a costume and set designer who worked witih Jerry Jackson and was involved in the shows Jackson produced in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Miller was born on January 8, 1933 in Burkburnett, Texas. After he graduated high school, he moved to Los Angeles, California to attend the Chouinard Art Institute, which would eventually become CalArts when it later merged with another school. He was unable to find design work after graduating school in the mid-1950s, and instead took a job at a florist in Beverly Hills, California. This florist job introduced him to many of his later clients such as Aaron Spelling, Jerry Jackson, Joan Crawford, and many others. In 1957, he was able to open his own design studio and design full time. In 1980, he married Sandra Stream, but they later divorced in 1993. Nolan Miller died of lung cancer on June 6, 2012 at his home in Woodland Hills, California.
