Political activist Kerin Scianna Rodgers was born on March 14, 1936. She aided the Democratic party with campaigning in Nevada for state positions from 1974 through 1986. Rodgers worked with Flora Dungan as her campaign chairperson and served as the President of the Women’s Democratic Club of Clark County. She was successful in her campaign for University Regent District E and held a position on the Nevada Democratic Central Committee. She helped support Democrats in state elections and was involved with Get Out The Vote (GOTV), a movement dedicated to increasing voter turnout. Rodgers also owned a nightclub called Gypsy.
