Levinson, Al, 1924-1994

Alan Leroy Levinson was born May 24, 1924 to Cora and Harry Levenson in Long Island, New York. He later served in World War II and received a medical discharge and moved to Southern California. He relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. He married Bonnie McGaugh in the 1950s and the couple had three children. Levinson owned L and L Manufacturing, who produced Skibird boats. He also operated the Country Store Fishing Center and a service station. He later worked at the Bonnie Springs Ranch purchased by his wife. Levinson unsuccessfully ran for Clark County Commission in 1962 and 1966. In the 1970s, he oversaw the addition of Old Nevada, the wax museum, motel, and other attractions at Bonnie Springs. Levinson died on December 28, 1994.
