Historical researcher Carol Corbett moved to Las Vegas in 1969. She earned an Associate of Science Degree in data processing at Community College of Southern Nevada and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/Finance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). She owned her own consulting firm specializing in archival management. Corbett was formerly an archivist for the Women's Archives in the Special Collections Department at UNLV, and a systems analyst and Assistant County Recorder. She worked closely with former State Senator Jean Ford to establish the Nevada Women's History Project and served as its first historian. Corbett served on the State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) for 18 years and was also a board member of the County Fiscal Officers Association, and the Clark County Credit Union. She was also a delegate for the Southern Nevada Association of Pride, Inc. As of 2015 Carol Corbett lives in the Las Vegas area and continues to be active in recording and preserving Nevada history.
