Description

David Zenoff was a Nevada Supreme Court Judge and one of the founders of the juvenile justice system in Clark County, Nevada. Born March 8, 1916 in Amherst, Wisconsin, Zenoff is the brother of Southern Nevada newspaper publisher Moritz "Morry" Zenoff. David Zenoff earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin. During World War II he served in the Marines and earned a Bronze Star. In 1948 he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and was admitted to the Nevada Bar. During the 1950s and 1960s, Zenoff served as a district judge and helped found a rehabilitation program called Spring Mountain Youth Camp. He was appointed to the Nevada Supreme Court in 1965, a position he held for eleven years. Following his career as a judge, Zenoff served on the board of directors of Southwest Gas, the Golden Nugget, and Irwin Molasky's Paradise Development and Realty Holdings, Inc. David Zenoff died in 2005.
