Oral history interviews with June Monroe and Kazuko Atomura conducted by Cecilia Winchell and Stefani Evans on July 14 and July 19, 2022 for Reflections: the Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. In the first interview, Kazuko Atomura describes her childhood in Taiwan and Tokyo, Japan, and shares both happy and difficult mememories of that time. Atomura eventually moved to Los Angeles, California, where she reconnected with a man she previously met in Japan. She married him and together had their daughter, June Monroe, and another son while living in Corpus Christi, Texas. After difficult medical procedures involving Atomura's husband and Monroe's younger brother, Brian, the family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. Monroe recalls attending Las Vegas High School and Bonanza High School, and the struggle of making new friends as a young person. In the second interview, the mother and daughter discuss racism, discrimination, and identity. Kazuko Atomura recalls her many experiences with discrimination as a result of both her appearance and language barriers. June Monroe discusses how she came to be proud of her Japanese heritage, while Atomura discusses some of the community activities she has been involved in since living in Las Vegas including the Japanese Culture Club and odori dancing. Then, both Atomura and Monroe discuss Monroe's brother, Brian, who received two kidney transplants; one from Monroe's father and one from Monroe herself. Atomura talks about the shrines she has built for Brian, the experience of him being on dialysis, care taking, and his final days. Monroe shares about her activism with organ donation, being regularly involved with the Nevada Donor Network and helping to pass significant pieces of legislation within the area of organ donation.
Oral history with Chris Davis, Debbie Davis, and Mynda Smith conducted by Claytee D. White and Barbara Tabach on May 24, 2018 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project. In this interview, Debbie and Chris Davis and Mynda Smith discuss the murder of their daughter and sister (respectively), Neysa Davis Tonks, at the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival on October 1, 2017. They discuss plans to form Fifty-Eight Loved and Never Forgotten, a foundation to help educate the children of the 58 families affected that night. Neysa, a single mother, left behind three sons, 24, 18, and 15 years of age. The family members recall how they were first alerted to Neysa's death, and having to locate and identify her body at the coroner's office twenty-four hours later. Chris, David, and Mynda reflect on Neysa's life, her work, and legacy. Debbie, Chris, and Mynda believe that "darkness cannot exist in the presence of light. Neysa's light will shine forever."

Directly in front of the buildings western wall, along the strip, a tall pylon faces north /south Sign condition: Structure 3 Surface 3 Lighting 3 Sign form: Pylon Sign-specific description: The pylon sign, which faces north/south, is the only signage notifying the pedestrian traffic of the establishment within. It is a tall vertical advertisement, mostly comprised of a vertical, rectangular shaped, internally lit cabinet, with rounded edges. The face of the sign is a plastic, graphically treated photo image of a man in a tuxedo holding up a giant lobster. Sign - type of display: Incandescent; Backlit Sign - media: Steel; Plastic Sign - non-neon treatments: Graphics Sign animation: Chasing, flashing Notes: The raceway, which runs the circumference of the faces of the sign, contains small strobes placed at random places, and flashing at random patterns. Sign environment: The sign for the establishment is the only marker that anything is operational in the dimly lit building. Not that the building looks non operational, but the majority of the building is very unassuming, mostly being denoted by the large drive and entrance. It is located just south of the Tam O'Shanter motel, among the awkward transition of the strip, that is Spring Mountain Rd. The Vagabond Inn and the Treasure Island square off the end of the block before the desolate expanse of what used to be the Desert Inn, and the transforming Fashion Show Mall, sprawl out across the north side of the road. The Rosewood Grill is part of the side of the street that trails off in size, but not character as the giant Venetian slows its progress. Sign - date of redesign/move: Was the Anoje Continental Restaurant, next to the Kit Carson Motel, but was changed to the Rosewood Grill. Sign - thematic influences: Not much of a theme, outside of advertising for a big lobster dinner. Oral history interview with Nadine Cracraft conducted by Barbara Tabach on November 27, 2017 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project. In this interview, Nadine Cracraft discusses the development of her career in child and family therapy after moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1991. While describing the work she has done, Cracraft talks about the volunteer counseling services she provided for the survivors of the October 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting. She specifically mentions working with Aria staff members who were struggling with the aftermath of the shooting as well as her time spent working with First Friday to help those impacted by the traumatic event. Throughout the interview, Cracraft explains the different ways people manage their post-traumatic stress disorder and how this knowledge influenced her care of the survivors.
