The Patent for South Goldfield, Nevada Townsite Collection (1907) is a copy of a response to a townsite application for the area south of Goldfield. The application explains that the area can be an official townsite if the correct materials are collected and return to the County Clerk of Esmeralda County, Nevada by January 7, 1908.
From the Nye County, Nevada Photograph Collection (PH-00221) -- Series III. Beatty, Nevada -- Subseries III.A. Brockman Family. Edith Brockman, daughter of Amargosa Valley pioneer Gordon Bettles, and her husband, Frank, constructed the Desert Inn Motel in Beatty, Nevada.

From the Chester R. Longwell Photograph Collection (PH-00311). Old Slope is trenched deeply by stream course from largest canyon, which is building up a new fan-slope farther out. This trench is 125 ft. deep at canyon mouth and gradually fades out about 5 miles from the mountain front. Note the dissected rock bench at base of range. It is almost 1 mile wide, and is bounded by an old fault on each side. Note the nature surface at top of range. N IV-39.
