The Kathy Augustine Papers date from 1977 to 1997 and are comprised of the documents of Augustine's political career as an Assemblywoman and State Senator in Nevada. The collection includes political correspondence relating to State Senate Bills (SB) and Assembly Bills (AB), material from Augustine's Assembly campaign, and newsletters from Desert Express, Sage, and Sagehen. The collection also includes other correspondence related to Augustine's time in office, and social events.

The Wengert Family Photographs (1890-1966) depict the lives of the Wengert family. In addition are materials focusing on day-to-day activities such as holiday celebrations, family milestones, and some Southern Nevada Power Company employees. Although there are chronological gaps in the materials, particularly in the early years of Cyril and Lottie’s lives, the images provide historical documentation of this Las Vegas family.

Description
On November 1, 1979, Robert Maichle interviewed Marshall Mack Dawson (born 1938 in Las Vegas, Nevada) about his experiences living in Las Vegas. Dawson first talks about his early education, his family, and the Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort. He then describes the changes he has noticed over time, the atomic testing, the Helldorado parades, Red Rock, the development of the Strip, and the changes in the Downtown area. Dawson also discusses some of his work for Nevada Power, the early movie theaters, his opinions on journalism, and various other topics.

In 1984, with the advice of his father ringing in his ears, Brad Nelson uprooted his wife and two children from their Denver home and moved them to Henderson, Nevada, where he would begin a new adventure in shaping the new master-planned community of Green Valley with Mark Fine and American Nevada Corporation (ANC). Nelson, lifelong Nebraskan and only child of his parents, arrived armed with a Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture with urban planning option, a Master's degree in urban planning, and fifteen years of planning and executive experience with the national firm of Harmon, O'Donnell and Henniger Planning Consultants. He arrived in time to plan Green Valley's first village, the Village of Silver Spring. By the time he left ANC for Lake Las Vegas in 1999, his work was done and most large parcels had been sold. Specifically, the two discuss Hamblin moving from different towns in Nevada before settling down in Southern Nevada, viewing the above-ground atomic bomb tests, early Fremont Street, and his work on the railroad. In addition, Hamblin also discusses the demographic and economic changes that he has seen in Las Vegas.
