John Reynolds Klai II was born and raised in Osnabrock, North Dakota. After spending a few years as an accounting major at the University of North Dakota’s College of Business in Grand Forks, an engineering class inspired him to pursue a career in architecture. He returned to Osnabrock, where he worked for his father’s construction company and saved to attend the architecture program at North Dakota State University (NDSU) in Fargo. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies in 1977 and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1978.

The Alice Pearson Papers (1956-2000) contain the personal papers of Alice Pearson and the administrative records of the Mesquite Club, the first service organization founded in Las Vegas, Nevada. The collection includes the club’s administrative records, service projects and social events, as well as its membership in the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC). Materials within the collection include meeting minutes, correspondence, committee reports, newsletters, notebooks, and scrapbooks.
Archival Collection
The collection includes materials from the Nevada Test Site (1955-1967) including newsletters published by the Reynolds Electrical & Engineering Co., Inc. and photographs of Southern Nevada flora, fauna, and archaeology. It also includes photographs of test explosions at the Nevada Test Site, as well as photographs documenting a visit from North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) officials and a visit from John F. Kennedy to the Nevada Test Site. The collection also contains an oversized poster of an atomic explosion and one of a nuclear rocket development station.
Archival Collection
The Evelyn Stuckey Photograph Collection (approximately 1940-1972) contains black-and-white and color photographic prints, negatives and slides. The images depict Evelyn Stuckey at various functions for Las Vegas High School in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Rhythmettes, as well as the Rhythmettes practicing and performing routines.
Archival Collection
The Irving Hirshon Photographs are comprised of 55 color slide photographs taken by Irving Hirshon in 1971 of Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, downtown Las Vegas, and the Las Vegas Strip. Hirshon is believed to have taken the slides in the summer of 1971 on a West Coast trip to celebrate his twenty-fifth wedding anniversary.

The William F. Harrah College of Hospitality Records (1970-2016) contain documents pertaining to the College of Hospitality at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Materials include student projects, manuscript drafts by Jerome (Jerry) Vallen, brochures and promotional material, newsletters, and magazines. Also included are photographs of casino and hospitality industry workers and hospitality related events. Also included are publicity photographs of entertainers as well as models and showgirls in beauty pageants and at casinos. It is presumed that these photographs werey used for creating
