Wyman, Richard V.

Dr. Richard V. Wyman was born in Painesville, Ohio, and lived there until he joined the navy in 1943 at the age of 17. He attended graduate school at Michigan State University. In 1969, he joined the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) staff. Wyman retired in 1992 and is Professor Emeritus of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UNLV.

Spiess, Erick R., 1919-2016

Erick Robert Spiess was born May 29, 1919 to Lola and Erick Spiess in Kentucky. He later served in the military during World War II. He married Margaret Brown on August 10, 1944 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and the couple later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. He died in Baltimore, Maryland on November 23, 2016.

Hal G. Curtis was born July 09, 1926 in Galt City, California. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada when he was four years old. He graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1942 and went into the United States military until 1950. Curtis worked on the Union Pacific Railroad in iron work for more than 25 years.

Notes from the donor, Dennis McBride: Kelvin Atkinson came out on the floor of the Nevada Senate on April 22, 2013 while arguing against the state's proscription of same-sex marriage. On October 9, 2014 Atkinson and his partner, Sherwood Howard, became the first same-sex couple to marry in Nevada. Atkinson resigned his office on March 5, 2019 over accusations he misappropriated campaign funds for his personal use. He was convicted of fraud and sentenced to prison on July 18, 2019. ... Ruben Kihuen was later elected to the U. S. House of Representatives from Nevada's District 4. Accused of sexual misconduct he did not seek re-election in 2018. The Irwin and Susan Molasky Papers (early 1900s-2012, bulk 1970-2012) primarily contain materials related to real estate development work by Irwin Molasky with his company, the Molasky Group of Companies, in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition, the collection includes personal photographs (early 1900s-2011, bulk 1970-2011) of family members, friends, and events, as well as a Proclamation from Clark County, Nevada to establish the Molasky Family Park.
