The view of Howard Hughes being escorted through a crowd of attendees at the World's Fair in New York. Description printed on photograph's accompanying sheet of paper: "Press Headquarters at field where Hughes ended flight. New York City-- The Press Headquarters set up under a huge tent at Floyd Bennett Field by the New York World's Fair for the use of newspapermen "covering" the landing of Howard Hughes and his crew after their record-smashing flight around the world. Part of the great throng that welcomed the gallant fliers mills around in front of the tent. Credit Line (ACME) 7/14/38 (SS)"

The black and white view of the Lockheed 14 aircraft at the Floyd Bennett Airport in New York. Typed on a piece of paper attached to the image: "Readying Hughes' plane for Paris flight. New York City-- Mechanics hastened to put Howard Hughes' Lockheed 14 monoplane in shape for a flight from Floyd Bennett Airport here, to Paris. Motor trouble forced postponement and helpers were working under injunction to have the ship ready for a takeoff, July 9, "at the earliest possible moment." Photo shows: the plane being pulled out of the hangar by a truck. Credit Line (ACME) 7/9/38."

Typed onto a piece of paper given with the image: "As Los Angeles Welcomed Howard Hughes Los Angeles, Cal. -- The crowd gathered around the world-circling plane of Howard Hughes in the hangar at the Grand Central Air Terminal as Hughes and his companions on his record-breaking world flight alighted from the plane to receive the welcome home of Southern California. Hughes put his plane down at the airport and taxied it into the hangar all before alighting with his companions. Credit Line (ACME) 8/2/38 NY."

Description printed on photograph's accompanying sheet of paper: "Gen. view parade: As globe fliers braved Broadway blizzard, New York. Although they didn't encounter a single snowflake on their roaring dash across Siberia, Howard Hughes and his four-man crew met a regular blizzard (of Broadway ticker tape) today as New York paid them homage as only New York know how. This is a view of the scene as the triumphal procession proceeded from the Battery to City Call. In the car are (left to right) Grover Whalen, President of the New York World's Fair, Howard Hughes and Al Lodwick, his press representative. (w) 7-15-38.30."
