The Ray Tutaj Jr. and Harv Kahn Photographs (approximately 1990-2009) contain photographs and videos taken by Ray Tutaj Jr. and Harv Kahn of the Union Pacific Railroad and trains throughout Las Vegas, Nevada and the southwest region. Tutaj and Kahn were friends who were railroad enthusiasts and hobbyist photographers. Materials include photographic negatives and prints as well as digitized photographs.
The Alan Byron Olson Photographs (approximately 1933) consist of one negative album containing 100 photographic negatives taken by Alan Byron Olson around 1933 that depict the Hoover Dam (then known as Boulder Dam) and the Boulder City Hospital. Olson was a medic for the Boulder City Hospital and the images also depict various hospital staff and other locations related to Hoover Dam. The collection also includes digital copies of the negatives.
The Francisco Arcaute Photographs (2004-2006) contain monochrome and color photographic negatives of various exterior environs, signage, and events around Las Vegas, Nevada and Southern Nevada taken by Chicago, Illinois-based photographer Francisco Arcaute. The materials include negatives of neon signs located at the Fremont Street Experience, the El Cortez Hotel and Casino, and the Blue Angel Motel. Events represented in this collection include the annual Veterans Day parade hosted by the Veterans Action Group and Christmas markets.

Kernes is a retired journalist and author, and former Senior Editor and Chief Legal Analyst for AVN Media Network. The collection also contains a 1950s stereoscope viewer.
