Oral history interview with Mike Newman conducted by Reginald Williams on March 02, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Newman also discusses the gambling environment in the city from the psychology of becoming a gambler to his experience becoming a casino dealer.

In this interview, Perkins discusses the business and methods of mining salt. Perkins later discusses his career as a farmer as well as the climate and environment in Nevada. The CIJU materials include planning documents for multiple surveys including: campus climate surveys, status of women, campus culture, and campus environment.
