Oral history interview with Burton Cohen conducted by Michael Geeser on November 14, 2005 for the I Remember When: Recollections from Las Vegas Jewish Leaders Oral History Project. He talks about his career as a casino executive, celebrities in Las Vegas, Nevada, the role of organized crime in the city, and about executives of other casinos. He also answers questions from the audience.

Oral history interview with Roberta Sabbath conducted by Barbara Tabach on April 27, 2015 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. Sabbath discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in the late 1960s, her involvement with organizing University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ (UNLV) Hillel chapter, and the Hebrew Day School. She also talks about her husband’s, Dennis Sabbath, career as a union attorney, and her career as an UNLV literature professor.

Landau, Ellis

Ellis Landau is a member of the board of trustees of the Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Boyd Gaming Corporation and served as a financial executive in the gaming and hospitality industries for more than thirty years. In 2006 Landau was honored as "Man of the Year" by Temple Beth Sholom in Las Vegas. He served as the temple's president from 2009 to 2010 and is a founder of its Warsaw Memorial Garden.

Williams, Myrna, 1929-

Myrna Williams was born in Chicago in 1929. Her brother was the singer Mel Tormé, so the family moved to Hollywood when she was ten because her brother was under contract with MGM. Shortly after Myrna turned 21, she moved to New York to work for Decca Records. She met the jazz drummer David Williams, whom she married. Myrna, David, and their daughter Indy moved to Las Vegas in 1959. Myrna got involved in politics, and was elected to the Nevada State Assembly and to the Clark County Commission.

Shortly after Myrna turned 21, she moved to New York to work for Decca Records. She met the jazz drummer David Williams, whom she married. Myrna, David, and their daughter Indy moved to Las Vegas in 1959. Myrna got involved in politics, and was elected to the Nevada State Assembly and to the Clark County Commission. She also taught in the University of Nevada, Las Vegas' department of social work for eleven years. Myrna is also a member of numerous community organizations and sits on the board of the Public Education Foundation and the Anti-Defamation League. Her greatest accomplishment in her opinion is the development of the Cambridge Recreation Center, a community center that houses a skate park and a pool, as well as programming that focuses on at risk youth. In 2007 it was designated as the Myrna Tormé Community Campus.

Alterwitz, Daryl S., 1959-

Daryl Alterwitz (1959- ) is a Las Vegas, Nevada attorney. When he was thirteen years old his family moved from Gary, Indiana to Las Vegas and purchased Walker Furniture. Alterwitz graduated from Valley High School and attended the University of California Santa Cruz. He earned his law degree from Santa Clara University and a degree in taxation from New York University School of Law. After his father Oscar Alterwitz passed away in 1990, Daryl moved back to Las Vegas to take on more responsibility in the family business, Walker Furniture.
