The collection is comprised of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Department of Anthropology and Ethnic Studies administrative records, memoranda, and correspondence dating from 1966 to 2006. The collection includes information about UNLV's department of Anthropology and Ethnic Studies from its inception at Nevada Southern University, its transition to UNLV, and research initiatives the department has undertaken.

Materials include reports, newspaper clippings, memorandum, research files, and publications kept by Landwer throughout his tenure at UNLV. Also included are publications from Landwer's personal library of sports and physical education related guidebooks, catalogues, and scholarly journals. The materials in this collection document various organizational efforts for the Department of Sports Education Leadership, specifically under President Carol Harter's tenure from 1995 to 1996.
