Handwritten by Elbert Edwards on back of photograph: "Mama gave this to me March 26, 1937. It is Aunt Wolinda [sic] Woods Terry, Aunt Roxa Woods Terry, Uncle Lafey [Lafeyette] Woods. My mother was Maribah Woods. Her other brothers were Carlos, Lyman, James, Lamond, Jasper, Albert and Lafayette."

Description

An image of people golfing in front of the Aqueduct at the Sands Hotel and Casino. It was designed by Julius Gabrielle. It was finished in pink and white tile and concrete, was 275 feet in length, three stories tall, and had 83 rooms. There were ten suites averaging 1600 square feet with the furnishings costing $18,000 to $22,000. Several of the suites included a private swimming pool and rent for $115 a day.
