Mrs. Thalia Dondero is wife of Harvey Dondero, who was a roomer at the Schuylers' home and became prominent in the Las Vegas school system. Thalia was elected as the first female Clark County Commissioner in 1974, and Harvey Dondero was honored with an Elementary school being named after him.

On October 18, 1974, James M. Greene interviewed news editor, Lorna Kesterson (born December 30th, 1925 in St. George, Utah) in her office in Henderson, Nevada. The two discuss Kesterson’s work in news editing as well as her original reasons for moving to Nevada. They also discuss teenage social life of Boulder city, during the 1940s.

Ruth McGonagill and a neighbor's baby at tent house with pipe from milk can stove. The family lived here, in the Kawich Range, from about September 1904 through March 1905. (This camp was called Wheaton and was a couple miles up the gully from Silver Bow, Nevada)

Abstract

The Barbara Raben Collection on the Las Vegas Jewish Community (1976-2018) is comprised of materials collected by Barbara Raben that document her personal life and her involvement with the Las Vegas, Nevada Jewish community, specifically the Hadassah Southern Nevada Chapter and the Jewish Family Service Agency (JFSA) of Clark County, Nevada. Hadassah and JFSA records consist of photographs and programs from events held by the organizations. Materials also document Raben's business, The Candy Factory, and her connections to the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning.
