Roberts, Harley

Harley Roberts was a security guard on the Nevada Test Site in southern Nevada during the fateful "Baneberry" test in 1970. He, along with William Nunamaker, stayed at their positions on the site while others evacuated. Roberts was also one of the 300 or so workers who developed complications, including cancer, after being exposed to the radioactive fallout. Roberts filed suit against the United States government in 1972 along with Nunamaker, also alleging that his leukemia was caused by radiaoactive fallout. Harley Roberts died in 1974.

Hazard, Ruth Evaline, 1907-1997

Long-time Las Vegas resident Ruth Evaline Hazard (née Worden) was born in Marshall, Michigan on June 25, 1907 to Joseph V. Worden and Mary D. Hare. She lived in Michigan until she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1931. Over the course of her lifetime, she worked as a secretary, a bookkeeper/accountant, and worked at Baker and Hazard Realty (a property management company founded by C. D. Baker and H. E. Hazard).

List, Kathy

Kathryn Sue List was born Kathryn Sue Geary on April 7, 1940. She married Robert List on July 1, 1962. The couple had three chidren during their marriage: Suzanne, Hank, and Michelle. While her husband was governor of Nevada (1978-1983), Kathryn was First Lady of Nevada. She later divorced Robert List. She currently lives in Reno, Nevada and works as a realtor.

Lyman, Marguerite Rice, 1895-1989

Marguerite Marie Rice was born Marguerite Marie Lyman on March 25, 1895 in Spring Valley, Nevada. Her parents were Henry Asaph Rice, an important figure to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints community, and his wife Christine Marie Hansen. Her mother Christine died when she was four. In 1929, she married Albert Alonzo Lyman. The couple had two children, Lloyd Albert and Mary Ellen. Marguerite died December 20, 1989 in Logandale, Nevada.

Moore, Joyce

Joyce Moore was born May 8, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois. Her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in December of 1953. Moore attended school at Sunrise Acres Elementary School until eighth grade and then went to Rancho High School, graduating in 1962. As of 2018, she works as an archivist at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
