The Charles J. Hirsch Photographic Slide Collection (approximately 1956-1987) is comprised of forty-six color slides that depict gaming tables, gaming cards and dice, slot machines, captured cheating devices, and statistical graphs from the Golden Nugget Casino, located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Aaron Williams Photograph Collection (approximately 1968 to 1983) consists of three black-and-white photographic prints. Two of the images are of the groundbreaking ceremony of the Senior Citizens’ Center with Las Vegas, Nevada Mayor Oran Gragson, and the third of three unidentified individuals.
The Mint Hotel Photograph Collection consists of photographic prints and postcards from approximately 1960 to 1980. The collection includes photographs of the Mint’s “Behind the Scenes” tour during which guests experienced casino operations, and photographs and postcards of the hotel itself.
The Charles Aplin Photograph Collection (approximately 1935-1955) consists of black-and-white photographic prints and negatives. The images primarily depict the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Las Vegas, Nevada chapter events and members. Also included are images of Las Vegas, Helldorado parades, and Conrad H. Mann, former president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
The Joan D. Norris Photograph Collection, approximately 1960 to 1971, consists of black-and-white photographic prints depicting scenes from Atlantic City, New Jersey. Images portray the Atlantic City Boardwalk, storefronts, and hotels.
The Fedora Bontempi Simpkin Photograph Collection (1970-1983) consists of black-and-white and color photographic prints depicting Clark County, Nevada Mother's Day Celebrations and mother of the year award ceremonies. Pictured honorees include Grace Hayes, Frances Liberace, and Joyce Straus. Other images include Fedora Bontempi Simpkin with Nevada Senator Howard W. Cannon and Nevada Governor Richard Bryan.
The Virginia Lelake Photograph Collection (approximately 1952-1979) is comprised of thirty-eight black-and-white photographic prints depicting floats and performers at the Helldorado Parade in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Byrd Wall Sawyer Photograph Collection contains color photographic slides depicting Byrd Wall Sawyer’s home, the Carson House, in Carson City, Nevada; towns and cities; and landscapes throughout Nevada between approximately 1950 to 1970. Nevada towns and cities primarily depicted include Belmont, Manhattan, Reno, and Dixie. Nevada landscapes include Carson River, Carson Mountains, Olinghouse Canyon, Washoe Lake, King’s Canyon, Lake Winnemucca, Washoe Valley, and Lake Tahoe.
The Peggie Kaltenborn Gambarana Photograph Collection consists of color photographic prints from approximately 1970 to 1979. The images are portraits of Robert J. Kaltenborn, Peggie Kaltenborn Gambarana, and Eddie Gambarana.
The Theodore M. Parsons Photograph Collection (1936-1988) consists of photographic prints and negatives depicting Theodore M. Parsons and other Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) workers in Boulder City, Nevada between 1936 and 1942. There are individual images of Parsons as well as group photographs of workers at CCC camps and public gatherings.
