Oral history interview with Ray M. Cutright conducted by himself on April 22, 1981 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. Cutright talks about his experiences in operating a boat that carried both tourist passengers and workers to and from the site of the Hoover Dam. He also discusses a few specific experiences, including what it was like navigating the river.

Oral history interview with Dr. John McDaniel conducted by Daniel Malloy on October 24, 1974 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, McDaniel discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada from Mississippi in 1931. McDaniel discusses the construction of the Boulder (Hoover) Dam. He also discusses his work as a medical doctor and his family life.

Oral history interview with Tad Porter conducted by Joseph H. Cutchin III on October 17, 1972 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. In this interview, Porter discusses his early life and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1939. He remembers the Carole Lombard plane crash accident, the construction of Hoover Dam, and social changes in Las Vegas since the 1940s.

The Murl Emery Photograph Collection consists of seventeen black-and-white photographic reprints of ferries and recreational activities near Searchlight, Nevada on the Colorado River taken from approximately 1910 to 1946, and reprinted from approximately 1970 to 2004.

The John C. Olsen Photograph Collection, approximately 1950 to 1969, consists of black-and-white photographic prints and negatives. Images depict scenes from the annual Helldorado Celebration in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Shriners’ Parade in downtown Las Vegas, various hotels along the Las Vegas Strip, the Last Frontier Village at the Last Frontier Hotel, Las Vegas, natural landscapes at Mount Charleston and Rhyolite, Nevada, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, Twin Lakes, and petroglyphs in Valley of Fire Nevada State Park.

Oral history interview with Ruby Thomas conducted by Craig Hawkins on October 05, 1973 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Thomas discusses her career as a teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada and being member of the Retired Teachers Association. She then describes social and environmental changes, and the construction of Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam). Lastly, Thomas recalls the population growth and casino development in Las Vegas.
