Mudra, Shirley

Shirley Mudra was born on December 22, 1934. She met her husband Paul when they were both in the airforce. They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada because Paul Mudra started work at the Nevada Test Site. As of 2011, she was a management analyst and was part of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Muscelli, Emilio

Emilio Muscelli was born in Italy, moved to America in 1948, and landed a job at the Copacabana nightclub in New York City, New York. His boss Jack Entratter, brought Muscelli to Las Vegas, Nevada when he opened the Sands Hotel and Casino in 1952. Emilio worked as a maitre d' for many years, mostly at the Sands. He was friends with Bobby Darren and Cary Grant and met many other celebrities.

Laralee Nelson was born June 10, 1953 and was raised in Provo, Utah with her fourth sisters in a Mormon household. Her parents worked at Brigham Young University (BYU) and she attended the university. She was nearly 30 years old when she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1983 with her husband. This move was her first real move from her Utah home base. She spent summers at an archeological dig in Israel while studying for her undergraduate degree, but these were nothing compared to relocating to Las Vegas.

Houghton “Hoot” Peterson grew up in a small town called Virginia, Minnesota and played the trombone in his high school band. That led him to become a member of the highly regarded United States Air Force jazz band called Airmen of Note after enlistment. During a short tour at Nellis Air Force base, Peterson decided that the Las Vegas, Nevada entertainment scene might have career opportunities for him.
