Nevada politician and women's advocate Imogene "Jean" Young was born in Miami, Oklahoma, on December 28, 1929, to Daisy Adelphia (Flook) and Clarence Nathan Young. She had one brother, Byron Young. Her family moved to Joplin, Missouri, where she attended kindergarten through high school. In 1951 she graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a B.A. in Sociology. After graduation she worked as a recreational therapist for the American Red Cross in military hospitals until 1955.
Artemus W. “Art” Ham Sr. (1892-1970) was a highly respected Las Vegas, Nevada attorney and a philanthropist who devoted his work towards the Las Vegas community as well as the development of the Las Vegas strip. Ham was also president of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce in 1929 and a recognized supporter to the University of Las Vegas, Nevada (UNLV). He became active in the city’s real estate and had faith in the future of Las Vegas.

Also included in the collection are photographic prints of Henderson during his tenure as a Nevada legislator and district judge. Other materials include postcards, negatives, and a tintype.
The Cherina Kleven Papers (approximately 1988-2014) document the career of Cherina Kleven who was the first Asian-American appointed as Assistant Fire Chief for Las Vegas Fire & Rescue. The materials primarily include physical and digitized photographs of Kleven in her capacity as Assistant Fire Chief, magazine and newspaper articles featuring Kleven, and event programs. Also included are campaign fliers from 2010 when Kleven ran for office to represent Assembly District 15 in the Nevada Legislature as well as two commemorative books celebrating the history of Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.
The Midbar Kodesh Temple Records (approximately 1986-1995, 2005-2017) are comprised primarily of event photographs, event programs, and bulletins created and maintained by Midbar Kodesh Temple in Henderson, Nevada. The collection also includes video recordings of the synagogue's groundbreaking in 1995 from local news channels and the 1986 Nevada Study on the Holocaust program.
The McNamee Family Papers (approximately 1898-2000) are comprised of family papers of early Nevada settlers, Frank (Francis) Raphael McNamee and Effie Alice Webster McNamee. It contains original family photographs and some documents such as newspaper clippings, award certificates, handwritten deeds, and correspondence about Effie and Frank McNamee Sr., and their eight children, including Frank Jr. and Leo McNamee. There are large folders of photocopied genealogy printouts from Ancestry.com regarding Frank and Effie McNamee.
