On March 4, 1978, Bill Cunningham interviewed Norman Forsythe (born 1927 in St. Paris, Ohio) about his experience as a firefighter in Las Vegas, Nevada. Forsythe discusses his original move to Las Vegas and his eventual joining of both the city of Las Vegas and Clark County Fire Departments. He also goes into detail about fighting the fire at the El Rancho Vegas in 1960. Forsythe also talks about the responsibilities as his then-current rank of battalion chief. The two also discuss housing in Las Vegas, the living conditions of the city, and Forsythe’s family. The interview concludes with Forsythe talking briefly about his family’s recreational activities and his experience as a baseball coach.

In this brief interview, Hecht talks about his time in the state senate working to bolster the budget with sales tax and gaming tax, starting a community college and health programs. He also talks about Pop Squires, a newspaper man and advocate for building Hoover Dam, who had a home on the site of Chic Hecht's clothing store on Fremont Street. Hecht also describes his time in the military and his involvement with the Military Intelligence Association.

On February 25, 1979, Hans Kohls interviewed Frank Cuti (b. 1904 in Pittsburgh, PA) about his experiences in the gaming industry in Nevada. Cuti first describes his work as a dealer in properties such as the Frontier Club during the 1940s. He then describes how the Strip developed from that point, naming casinos such as the El Rancho, Club Bingo, and the Flamingo. Cuti also discusses topics such as the nature of competition between properties, the problems with cheaters, and the involvement of the mob. He additionally provides his opinions on the involvement of unions in casinos and how dealing in the casinos has changed over the years. In the latter part of the interview, Cuti describes working as a floor man, and he talks about Howard Hughes’s influence on the development of Las Vegas.
