The Harvey's Lake Tahoe Hotel and Casino series (1830-1995) consists of books, guides, and magazines about gambling artifacts; casino promotional information and photographs, employee information; photocopies of Harvey's coin, token, and check collection; newspaper clippings about Harvey's hotel and assorted artifacts and ephemera including faro boards and case keepers, playing cards and holders, slot machine payoff signs, table-top gambling games, drinking glasses, matchbooks, and other casino merchandise. Also included are notes compiled on U.S. and world casinos and a collection of pre-Castro Cuba postcards collected by Andy Gazsi.

Oral history interview with Howard Heckethorn conducted by Richard Eitland on February 15, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Mr. Heckethorn describes going to school in the early days of Las Vegas, Nevada. He also talks about many notable teachers he had, as well as the development of the Las Vegas area. Heckethorn also discusses his arrival to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1930, and recalls the Old Mormon Fort, El Rancho, The Last Frontier, and the tourism that gambling brought to the city. Heckethorn discusses the 1960s, and the impact Howard Hughes had in the development of hotels and casinos.
Oral history interview with Daniel Kaminski conducted by Brian Corcoran on March 14, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Kaminski discusses his occupational history, gambling practices amongst tourists, and the rise of gambling establishments across the United States. Kaminski also discusses the role of dealers in casinos.
