Brymer, William, 1916-

William "Bill" Brymer was born on October 14, 1916 in Cambria, Illinois. Brymer moved to Las Vegas, Nevada on July 05, 1942. He eventually married in Las Vegas and had two children. Brymer worked as a craps dealer at the Frontier Club in Downtown Las Vegas and also at the Last Frontier on the Las Vegas Strip.

Celebration to welcome astronauts John Young and Bob Crippen after the first flight of the Shuttle Columbia. On the Frontier sign reads, "The People of Nevada Welcome Astronauts John Young, Bob Crippen, comander and pilot of Columbia, the gem of that vast ocean we call space. Astronauts dinner 8 P.M. Americana Room". Stamped on the back of the photograph, "Las Vegas News Bureau."

Abstract

Oral history interview with Irene Doty conducted by Jackie Ogden on March 20, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Doty discusses the first casino properties and restaurants in Las Vegas, Nevada. She also describes her experiences as a justice of the peace, living conditions during World War II, her experiences in Goodsprings, Nevada, and being a juror in several murder trials.
