Belfer, Hal, 1922-1999
Harold (Hal) Belfer was a writer, producer, and choreographer whose career spanned over 50 years. Belfer was born on February 16, 1922 in Los Angeles, California and his mother enrolled him in his first dance class at the age of three. Belfer began as a tap dancer and gradually expanded his entertainment career, eventually receiving more than 200 motion picture and television credits for choreography, producing, directing, and staging.

Sloan, Art (Arthur), 1930-2019
Arthur “Art” Sloan (1930-2019) was a philanthropist and a successful entrepreneur who ran multiple businesses that specialized in lighting and air conditioning. During his time in Las Vegas, Nevada, Sloan collected materials from casinos such as the Flamingo, El Rancho, and Hotel Last Frontier. These materials included ash trays, silverware, postcards, photographs, dice, playing cards, and casino memorabilia.

Description
Kim Krantz arrived in Las Vegas in 1953. She came as a seasoned performer having danced in large productions in Chicago, Montreal, New York and Florida. Born Delores Kalcowski in Jersey City, New Jersey, she adopted the name Kim Perrin while working at New York’s Latin Quarter. She had always loved the West and jumped at the chance to take the Latin Quarter show from New York City to Las Vegas. She came for a two-week engagement at the Desert Inn Hotel. The show was held over at that property for three months, and then it moved to the Riviera Hotel and Casino. Bill Miller approached her to join a new production at the Dunes Hotel. He and Harold Minsky were preparing “Minsky’s Burlesque,” the first show to use women born in the United States in a nude show. She opened with the original cast and stayed for two years. On March 2, 1977, Jonathan R. Bellingar interviewed Edward Gregory (born July 28, 1922) about his life in Nevada. The interview takes place at Nellis Air force Base; also present during the interview is an unidentified man. Gregory was born and raised in Nevada; he discusses leaving Nevada to serve in the Army during World War II before eventually returning to Nevada in 1950. The interview concludes with a brief overview of how Nellis Air force Base has changed since the 1950s.
