The Tonopah-Goldfield Mining Photograph Collection depicts mining activities in the mining towns of Tonopah and Goldfield in Esmeralda County, Nevada from approximately 1901 to 1920. The photographs primarily depict mines, miners, mills, construction, ore, and workers transporting ore. The photographs also depict events and people in Tonopah and Goldfield, including parades, celebrations, banquets, children, Native Americans, and prominent buildings.
The Michael Circuit Menu Collection (1989-2019) contains menus from restaurants in Las Vegas, Nevada, both free standing and located in casinos. The menus were collected by Michael Circuit, a local real estate agent and businessman who had originally collected the menus to decorate the walls of a restaurant he had planned on opening but did not come to fruition. This collection is minimally processed.
The Schuyler Family Photograph Collection (1889-2024) contains documents, census record forms, photographic prints and negatives, and ephemera which document the history of the Schuyler, Cahlan, and related families. The collection contains photographic prints of Donald Schuyler Sr. and his wife, Freda Schuyler, at various events and places around Las Vegas, Nevada. Some of the images also include members of the Cahlan and Ullom families, noteably A. E. Cahlan and his wife, Ruth, who were prolific Las Vegan authors. Some items in this collection are digital surrogates. This collection was previously called the Donald Schuyler Jr. Photograph Collection.
