On a report that the railroad was not fulfilling its duty to supply water to the Stewart burial plot, Bracken and others visited the site and reported on their findings. An excerpt from the original Stewart deed is referenced below.

Letter from the Union Pacific Railroad Co. lawyer recommending that the company not provide a settlement with the Stewart family, but to move forward with supplying water.

Strong is reluctant to commit the company to a specific amount of water to be delivered to the Las Vegas Ranch.

Bracken informs the company lawyer that the Las Vegas Land and Water Company has installed a weir to enable measurement of water currently being delivered to the Las Vegas Ranch, and recommends the removal of all references to all amounts of promised water in the lease.

The fruit company was planning on installing a water cooling tower which would reduce their water use from 500 to 50 gallons per minute.
