Oral history interview with Mach and Arlene Manuel conducted by Kristel Peralta and Stefani Evans on June 28, 2021 for Reflections: The Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. Mach and Arlene Manuel share the story of their overseas courtship and how they came to be together in the United States. Arlene was raised in the Philippines while Mach was born and raised in San Diego, California. Mach describes his visit to the Philippines as an adult when he began to connect more to his Filipino heritage. The couple shares how they dated for 13 years before Arlene moved to San Diego, and how the Manuel family came to live in Las Vegas in 2017 to pursue Arlene's nursing career. Arlene and Mach talk about cultural differences and discrimination, emigration and diversity, religion and identity, and Filipino food, among other topics. Subjects discussed include: Manila, Philippines; discrimination of class; and anti-Asian hate.

Abstract
The Thalia Dondero Political Papers (1934-2003), contain correspondence, pamphlets and reports used by Dondero to conduct official business, as well as information on county and city budgets, social and health services, liquor and gaming, planning, public works, environmental impact reports and a large section on water management. Dondero served as a Clark County Commissioner for twenty years and engaged in numerous other civic and political activities. The bulk of the materials are derived from Dondero's last four years in office, 1990-1994, but a few items from Dondero's earlier career are included.

Oral history interview of Brian Shepherd conducted by Claytee D. White on July 13, 2020 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Brian Shepherd, Chief of Staff of Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1107, represents health care and public sector employees across the state of Nevada. SEIU advocates for fair wages, quality health care, and the "secret ballot" for all union employees. Shepherd discusses his work with the union, racism, discrimination, inequality, organizing protests, the Black Lives Matter movement, and social justice.

The Flora Dungan Photographs contain photographs of Nevada politician and activist Flora Dungan from 1950 to 1973. The Eileen Brookman Photographs depict Nevada Assemblywoman Eileen Brookman from 1959 to 1989. The photographs primarily depict Brookman with other Nevada politicians, including U.S. Senators Harry Reid, Alan Bible, Eugene McCarty, and Howard Cannon, and Nevada Governors Paul Laxalt, Mike O’Callaghan, Richard Bryan, and Grant Sawyer. The photographs also depict Brookman at political events with the Nevada National Guard, bill-signing ceremonies, and at events in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Women's Research Institute of Nevada Records (1997-2017) document the establishment and activities of the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). The majority of the collection represents research files, correspondence, and other working files kept by Joanne Goodwin, professor of history at UNLV and executive director of WRIN from 1999 to 2017.
