Father James Sheehy (center) was honored by St. Christopher's Catholic Church with a parish-wide dinner at the Las Vegas Elks Club, North Las Vegas, Nevada, January, 1964. North Las Vegas Mayor William Taylor (left) presented him with a key to the city and spoke on behalf of the City of North Las Vegas. Bishop Robert Dwyer (right) of Reno was the principal speaker.

On March 10, 1981, Floyd Jenne (born June 6th, 1915 in Ogden, Utah) was interviewed by Ping Lee at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The interview covers Mr. Lee’s life as a police officer in Boulder City, Nevada. Mr. Lee also recalls going to school in McGill, Nevada and Ely, Nevada and working in Boulder City and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Abstract

The Maurine and Fred Wilson Papers (1888-1991) contain family papers and the historical research of Fred Wilson. It includes correspondence between Maurine and Fred Wilson, as well as Maurine Wilson’s diaries, calendars, and materials related to her career as a music teacher. The collection also contains Fred Wilson’s research files about the history of Southern Nevada as well as the First Methodist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada.
