After Gordon Bettles moved to the Armagosa Valley, his daughter Edith and her husband, Frank Brockman, moved to Beatty, Nevada, purchased land where T&T Railroad engines once had been serviced, and constructed the Desert Inn Motel. This picture was taken shortly after the motel began operating.
