Abstract
The Bob Weinstein Papers on Compulsive Gambling (1945-2024) contain pamphlets, brochures, conference packets, promotional material, correspondence, and ephemera related to Weinstein's involvement in Gamblers Anonymous (G.A.). The collection contains G.A. recovery resources, workshop and training booklets, and meeting minutes and correspondence from Weinstein's time on the G.A. International Board of Trustees. Also contained in the collection are copies of correspondence from Jim W. (founder of Gamblers Anonymous) to Bill W. (a founder of Alcoholics Anonymous) and many books and other publications related to compulsive gambling.

Abstract
The Margaret Kelly Collection on the Bluebell Girls (1935-1997) includes personal scrapbooks created by Margaret Kelly, programs from international shows featuring the Bluebell Girls dance troupe, and photographs of the Bluebell Girls. The scrapbooks include newspaper clippings covering Kelly's work at the Folies-Bergère and Lido de Paris, Paris, France, and her long career as creator and manager of the world famous Bluebell Girls. Also included are materials from 1958 about the Bluebell Girls shows in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Ralph Roske Papers (1957-1989) consist of Ralph Roske's book manuscripts, lecture notes, and correspondence. The collection includes extensive lecture notes on the United States Civil War, United States history, and Nevada history. It also includes Roske's research and manuscripts on Nevada, California, and the United States Civil War, as well as student
papers. Ralph Roske was a professor of history at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).

Sign condition: 4, looks that it needs to be cleaned and touched up.
Sign form: Super Pylon
Sign-specific description: There is a large fiberglass Silver Nugget on top of the sign that reads "Silver Nugget". Grey and white background with White channeled lettering with exterior skeletal neon and incandescent light bulbs contained in the letters. Below is a reader board.

Sign - thematic influences: Silver Nugget Representative of old west style of themes and casinos. Along the lines of Golden Nugget and similar properties.
Sign - artistic significance: This casino opened in the same year as Jerry's Nugget and both had the same concept of the nugget in their signage. Though the fiberglass silver nugget is more remnant of Kermit Wayne's 1961 Golden Nugget bull nose sign that featured a fiberglass nugget.

Description
Site address: 1313 E Fremont St
Sign details: This location was around in 1957 with a Vegas Vic Sign (picture found on Vintage Vegas). Their original sign was still up in the 1980's. Currently the motel is gated up and has been shut down for a while and most of their sign is gone.
Sign condition: 1- most of it is gone
Sign form: Roadside sign
Sign-specific description: This sign in current years before it was totally stripped had the "VALLEY MOTEL" on a blue plastic sign that stated Vegas Motel. Though now all that is left is the reader board portion. The original sign that was up in the 50's had Vegas Vic on it.

Sign environment: This location is down on the east side of Fremont Street near Maryland Pkwy. This location has many other older motels down close to it.
Sign - date of redesign/move: Sign must have changed from the older one to the reader board one in 90's or early 2000's, and in 2016 was when the lettering on the sign was taken down.
Sign - thematic influences: The old sign had Vegas Vic was staying true to the downtown 1950's Vegas neon design and theme.
Survey - research locations: Vintage Las Vegas website http://vintagelasvegas.com/search/Valley+Motel , Google maps satellite and roadside view. Could not find information on the assessor's page.
Survey - research notes: Vintage Las Vegas had pictures of the original sign with the address which helped since I could not find the Valley Motel on the Assessor's page. Then google maps roadside view helped with seeing the change in the condition of the sign. Now the only part of the sign left is the reader board portion of the sign.

Description
Site address: 1605 Fremont St
Sign owner: Las Vegas Dragon Hotel LLC
Sign details: This building was constructed in 1953 for commercial living and motels and has been used for this since. This location was recently remodeled in 2016. The property previous to the Economy Motel was the Rangler Motel.
Sign condition: 5-looks newly restored
Sign form: Blade
Sign-specific description: The top of the sign is a red rectangular blade with the word "ECONOMY" in white skeletal neon tubes spelt out horizontally. Below the word Economy is the word "MOTEL" spelt out Vertically in channeled white letters with a blue border. Underneath this portion of the sign is a sign box where they have a plastic rectangular sign with their phone number on it. Under the sign box is "WELCOME" painted on the west side of the sign and "BIENVENDIO" on the east side. On the building side of the side box is a rectangular yellow arrow pointing down to the lobby of the motel.

Sign - thematic influences: The arrow portion of this sign is a popular 1950's/60's motel sign theme.
Sign - artistic significance: It is a trend down on Fremont to take an old Motel sign and renovate it into the new motel's name and logo.
