Abstract

Materials in this collection (1969-1989) document various endeavors of the Operation Life organization. They include original correspondence, meeting minutes, news clippings, medical programs, grant applications, legal and financial documents, brochures and pamphlets, and other materials that provide context on the kinds of services provided by Operation Life. These files were kept by Jack Anderson in the course of his work as attorney for Operation Life.

Materials contain management and operational control procedure manuals, reports, statistics, pamphlets, informational packets, and newspaper articles about gaming facilities and corporations collected by Gary W. Royer for consulting purposes in his role as a gaming consultant and President of Casino Control Corporation (CCC) (1975-2000). Materials are primarily comprised of management and operation control procedure manuals and research files about various gaming facilities in Nevada. Also included is data compiled by Royer that include company profiles, financial data, type of gaming conducted on premises, notes, and record of owners and key employees.

Washington University (Saint Louis, Mo.). School of Fine Arts

The Washington University College of Art, located in St. Louis, Missouri, was founded in 1879. In 1878, Wayman Crow, one of the founders of Washington University, sought to dedicate a new museum to his late son, Wayman Crow, Jr. To accompany the museum, the University also created an independent school, creating the St. Louis School and Museum of Fine Arts, the first art school west of the Mississippi River. In 1906, the museum moved to Forest Park and was rededicated as the St. Louis Museum of Fine Arts.
