    IN THE BEGINNING . . . there was a dream . . at first only in
    the minds of a few, but as time went on it grew and others began
    to dream also. Soon it spread and when enough persons were
    imbued with the idea it began to become a reality. A bill was
    passed in the state legislature which created the University of
    Nevada Southern Regional Division.
    With the aid of many civic minded and generous individuals,
    the actual campus site was closer to reality. However,
    long before the first building was under construction classes
    were being held in various places with headquarters in the Las
    Vegas High School Auditorium.
    Many persons began walking through these portals of
