From the Nye County, Nevada Photograph Collection (PH-00221) -- Series VI. Tonopah, Nevada -- Subseries VI.A. Bradshaw Family (Goldfield-Tonopah). Woman at left in the hat is Marguerite Bradshaw, mother of Albert Nicholas Bradshaw. On the far right is Mrs. Hill. Albert Bradshaw may be the child third from the right in front.

From the Nye County, Nevada Photograph Collection (PH-00221) -- Series IV. Pahrump, Nevada -- Subseries IV.F. Hafen Family. A display of some old farm machinery, including a manure spreader and a concrete mixer is shown. The mixer, a Rex model, was built in 1903. It was powered by a LeRoy engine with a water cooler around a cylinder.

Providing security and access to both automobile and pedestrian traffic is handled differently along Las Vegas Boulevard and has changed over the years on the Strip. Although pedestrian overpasses provide a safe way to cross the Strip, the many entrances and exits from casinos have created the need for crosswalks that delay traffic along the tourist corridor. Getting people to use the overpasses has required installation of fencing in some areas, like this one outside of the Cromwell Las Vegas hotel and casino at Flamingo Raod.
