The images depict the mining equipment, personnel, operations, and housing for the Blue Diamond Corporation mine in Blue Diamond, Nevada.

Images include scenes from sketches performed on the show, group shots of the cast members off-set, and portraits of Wall.

Abstract

The Alan Bible Photograph Collection contains color photographic prints of the Hoover Dam; an aerial of the Colorado River; an Atomic Energy Commission drill rig in Central Nevada; and views of a Nuclear Rocket Development Station (NRDS) facility at the Nevada Test Site between approximately 1970 to 1974. These photographs are captioned and were originally framed and hung in Alan Bible's United States Senate office.

Abstract

Arthur G. Grant Photograph Collection (approximately 1950-1965) consists of 120mm and 35mm color photographic slides taken in the mid-1950s in and around Las Vegas, Nevada. Images depict Arthur G. Grant's home life, the Fortune Club business on Fremont Street, general downtown, Helldorado Parade, and a Mount Charleston picnic. The collection also contains images of Lake Mead boat races including an appearance by Donald Campbell and his water speed world record-setting jet powered boat, Bluebird.

The George Knox Roth Collection (1959-1980) consists of newspaper clippings (including photocopies), magazine articles, newsletters, technical reports and publications, correspondence, notes, and photographs relating to the Atomic Energy Commission, the environmental impact of nuclear testing in Nevada, Nevada mining, Airwest and the Hughes Airport, and other aspects of Howard Hughes’ Nevada operations. The George Knox Roth Collection also includes correspondence and expense reports related to his own company, General Research Consultants.

Abstract

The Denny Lynch Photograph Collection (approximately 1900-1990) contains photographic prints and negatives of the Lynch family and their homes in Pahrump Valley and near Blue Diamond, Nevada. The photographs also depict locations and people throughout Nevada, primarily in Pahrump and Amargosa with a focus between approximately 1970 and 1990. Other photographs include local, state, and federal politicians in Nevada and Washington, D.C. Most of these photographs were collected by Denny Lynch for his newspaper, the Pahrump Tribune.

Reno Gay Rodeo Collection

Abstract

The Reno Gay Rodeo Collection comprises organizational records collected by Dennis McBride that document the National Reno Gay Rodeo from 1977 to 1988. It includes newspaper clippings, notes, and ephemera, as well as legal documentation from two lawsuits fought unsuccessfully in 1988 to retain the Reno rodeo. The two lawsuits were the Silver State Gay Rodeo Association vs Lawlor Events Center (1988), and the Lantry, et. al. vs Third Judicial District Court, NV (Nevada Supreme Court dismissal, 1988).
