From the Dennis McBride Photograph Collection (PH-00263) -- LGBTQ+ events and organizations in Las Vegas, Nevada -- Digital images file. Notes from the donor, Dennis McBride: Sasha's was a queer bar and restaurant [2002-2003] which stood at 4640 South Paradise Road named for manager/female impersonator Josh Ryan who performed as Sasha Scarlet. After Sasha's closed, owner D. L. Washburn donated photos of the bar to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Special Collections Department [photograph collection no. 00412], and the bar's signature stained glass window to the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas. Ralph Avendano, the museum's Maintenance Worker IV, built a wood frame to hold the window.

Notes from the donor, Dennis McBride: The Spotlight Lounge opened in April 1998, then was sold in 2011. There followed a major rebuilding of the bar, which reopened in 2012. The address was changed from 957 to 975 East Sahara Avenue. … The obscene sign pictured here reads, "Cowboy sucking cock at the southeast corner of the park!! So come give me ur cock!"

Local news reports of The Stardust Hotel/Casino evacuated due to a bomb threat and subsequent scare of a suspicious package found in the poker room on February 5, 1996. The video consists of 12 segments from three different stations. Includes soundbites from Las Vegas Metro Police Sergeant Greg McGurdy that the suspicious package was not an explosive device, followed by brief soundbite from bystander. Description

Promtional video for Stardust slot tournaments. Opens on a large room filled with people playing slot machines. A man with a microphone interviews Tournament manager, Linda Gordon (?) about what makes Stardust tournaments so successful. Then, the host interviews some players who have won money by playing at the Stardust. ACtion shots of people pressing buttons while sitting at machines. The video then switches to promoting the banquet space, awarding winners from the tournament and showing a buffet. The host tells the viewer to call the hotel operator or go directly down to the tournament. In-room television then plays, showing the convention space, room service options, and more. Local news reports on Stardust showgirl image on the outside of a Western Pacific Airlines plane. Footage shows the showgirl whose image is used (Akke who performs in Enter the Night) posing next to the plane and a small group of people gathered inside the airport for the reveal. Jim Seagrave (Stardust Marketing) explains how the photograph was taken, then sent off to a company to be made into a vinyl wrap for the plane.
