Grants included the Community Development Block grant and funding sources that Operation Life utilized to fund their services and projects, such as the city of Las Vegas, Clark County, the state of Nevada, the Community Services Administration, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and various private funding sources, such as the Ford Foundation.

The Clark County Economic Opportunity Board (CCEOB), (1962-1973) was the regional legal body responsible for receiving and administering funds in Las Vegas, Nevada allocated under the Economic Opportunity Act, a part of the Johnson's Administration's War on Poverty Program. The collection concentrates on the high funding years from 1965 until the early 1970s, when the CCEOB disbursed funds to a variety of community action programs and organizations. Records are administration and project oriented and include meeting minutes, correspondence, financial and committee reports, personnel policies, job descriptions, funding information, appointments, program officer listings, as well as project applications and program descriptions.
This photograph has three images. The first one (0272_0101) depicts a typical dam worker's home. It has a handwritten inscription that reads, "For Sale: former 'dam worker's' home." The second one (0272_0102) shows a billboard outside of Las Vegas, circa late 1930s. It reads "Las Vegas, Nevada. Gateway to world's greatest engineering project - Boulder Dam." The third image (0272_0103) shows the Boulder Dam and reads, "Finished" (duplicate of Image 0272_0097).
