Round, Stephen, 1970-

Steve Round (born 1970) is a military veteran who has lived in Las Vegas, Nevada since 2013. Round was a guest at the Aria hotel and casino when the mass shooting occurred at the Route 91 Harvest festival on October 1, 2017. On October 2, 2017 Round began to build a memorial at Reno Avenue at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. Once the memorabilia from the memorial was taken to the Clark County Museum Round moved to the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign and began to assist in that site's protection until October 10, 2017.

Stewart, Omer Call, 1908-1991

Omer C. Stewart (1908-1991) was Professor Emeritus of the Department of Anthropology at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado and a renowned scholar of indigenous religions, particularly peyotism. He was also an outspoken advocate for the indigenous nations of the United States. Omer C. Stewart and Martha C. Knack wrote a book together in 1984 titled As Long as the River Shall Run: An Ethnohistory of Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation.

Schorr, Seth, 1977-

Seth Schorr is the Chief Executive Officer of Fifth Street Gaming and Chairman of the Downtown Grand Las Vegas. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999, Schorr worked as an executive in the marketing department at Bellagio Resort and Casino. Between 2000 and 2003 he held a position as Director of Interactive Gaming at Wynn resorts and was also in charge of developing the Wynn Collection of Fine Art. In 2003, Schorr moved to Macau, China to be a part of the Wynn Macau development team.

George, Sadie Kiel, 1868-1943

Sadie Kiel George was born on June 19, 1868 to Franklin and Elizabeth Kiel in Mansfield, Ohio. Sadie was the granddaughter of Conrad Kiel, one of Las Vegas Valley's earliest settlers and owned Kiel Ranch in the 1880s, which was the second oldest ranch in the Las Vegas Valley. Sadie Kiel married Hampton E. George on November 28, 1887 and they had a son, Willard Hampton George. Sadie Kiel George passed away on October 16, 1943 at the age of 75.

Bartlett, David, 1940-

David Bartlett’s Nevada roots run far and deep. He was born in Las Vegas in 1940 (son to Fred Bartlett), but his family moved to Reno when David was in grade school. A great joy was for him to return to Las Vegas and spend time with both sets of grandparents: David and Julia Lorenzi (maternal) and Byron and Dessa Bartlett (paternal). In local history, both families represent the early entrepreneurship and craftsmanship of residents: from the Bartlett Brothers Hardware to Grandfather Lorenzi’s stonework that still graces such landmarks as the grottos at St.

Ehlen, Tom, 1948-

Tom Ehlen has been passionate about the trumpet from an early age. He discovered his musical roots in his hometown of Kenton, Ohio and pursued that passion throughout his life. He caught his first break as a musician while studying at Ohio State University.

Kirkland, Barbara Bates (1934)

Barbara Bates Kirkland was born 1934 in Shreveport, Louisiana. On a sunny day in 1946, Kirkland and her mother stepped off the train from Shreveport and onto the Western street of Fremont in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kirkland’s mother, Atha Toliver, found employment as a maid. Toliver, who was determined that her daughter would get an education and a finer future, saw this as her opportunity to achieve this for her daughter. Later, she opened Eva’s Flower Basket, a floral shop that Kirkland would operate after retiring from teaching.
