A fisherman floats on a kayak in the private pond that gives The Lakes its name. Built in the 1980s, The Lakes is one of the last development's with a manmade lake as its feature. Tourists use the pedestrian overpass connecting the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino to the Fashion Show Mall to cross Spring Mountain Road. Overpasses like this have become a popular way of keeping tourists safe and traffic flowing, but their expense and footprint make them difficult for all locations.

Overpasses like this have become a popular way of keeping tourists safe and traffic flowing, but their expense and footprint make them difficult for all locations.

Dubbed "the Bliss Dance," artist Marco Cochrane's 40-foot tall dancing woman was inspired by his first experience at Burning Man, the annual arts and culture event in Nevada's Black Rock Desert. The artwork is a centerpiece of MGM Resorts International's area between its New York New York and Monte Carlo hotel and casinos dubbed "The Park." The area also serves as an entrance to MGM Resorts T-Mobile arena.

The remnants of buildings that once surrounded the famed Moulin Rouge hotel and casino in the historic Westside neighborhood. The buildings were schedule to be demolished shortly after these images were taken. Years of neglect and fires claimed the original building.
