Biographical / Historical Note

In 2020, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), the Springs Preserve, and Vegas PBS partnered together to host a community scanning event, "Las Vegas: Snapshots of History." The event was made possible as a part of the National Endowment for the Humanities' Common Heritage Grant. Members of the Las Vegas community were invited to bring photographs, slides, and negatives representing life in Las Vegas from the 1960s to the 1990s to the event. The scanned images were donated for inclusion in UNLV Special Collections and Archives.
