The Sam Siegel Professional Papers date from 1958 to 1968 and contain the corporate records of Siegel's Clark Dade Investment Enterprises, Inc., a Las Vegas-based small business. Materials include a corporate record book listing names of stockholders/subscribers, correspondence regarding business transactions, a book of blank stock certificates, and black-and-white photographic prints of Siegel with Jayne Mansfield. One of these prints is signed by Jayne Mansfield.
The Clark County Child Care Association (CCCA) Records (1957-1975) contain correspondence, fliers, dues paid rosters, insurance information, bills, memberships cards, and receipts. Also included are miscellaneous dues-related documents, minutes of CCCA (Nevada) general membership and executive board meetings, and a newsletter.
The Edward Halligan Papers (1962-1966) contain instructions and booklets on atomic testing, newspaper clippings, and newsletters. There is information on the underground detonations of "Project Long Shot," and "Project Rover" that took place at the Nevada Test Site. Also included is a speech, given by Halligan, titled "Technical Operations on Project Long Shot."
The Syphus-Bunker Papers date from 1891 to 1994, with the majority of the collection consisting of correspondence between Mary Etta Syphus and John Mathieson Bunker from 1891 to 1895. The collection also contains correspondence from friends and relatives, and documentation related to Mary Etta Syphus' attendance at Brigham Young Academy Church Normal Training School. Other materials include family history information and two color photographs of family homes. The collection also includes typed transcripts of the correspondence.
The Oran K. Gragson Papers (1955-1998) contain former Las Vegas, Nevada Mayor Oran K. Gragson's professional and personal papers, and include correspondence, files concerning Gragson's tenure as Mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada, arbitration documents from disputes between labor unions and Las Vegas casinos, committee notes, financial plans, and documents from Clark County and Las Vegas government departments. The collection also contains city development plans, environmental reports, political party documents, memorabilia, ephemera, photographs, awards, newspaper clippings, and scrapbooks.
The Helen J. Stewart Papers (1869-1978) document the life of Las Vegas, Nevada pioneer, Helen J. Stewart. It includes correspondence between Stewart and her children as well as various family legal papers and certificates. The collection also contains Helen J. Stewart's 70th birthday scrapbook, a ledger, and a day book from 1904-1919, as well as several photograph albums and information related to the family burial plot.
The Nevada Poetry Society Records are comprised of the Society's records dating from 1961 to 1973. Society organizer and president, Mildred Breedlove is featured prominently in the collection. Materials include Silver Strings: Nevada Poetry Society Anthology, a collection of poems commemorating Nevada's centennial year, individual poems from members, financial records, correspondence, and newsletters.
The Lorenzo Romans Papers (1875-1965) are comprised of photographs, newspaper clippings, a family photograph album, a diary, a diploma, and related ephemera. The materials were owned by Lorenzo Romans, a California real estate developer who moved to Las Vegas late in life after a short visit to Helen Stewart's Las Vegas Rancho in 1894.
The Florine McCuistion Papers (1944-1973) contain drafts of her newspaper column on interior design, certificates and recognitions, a small amount of information about her husband Ted McCuistion, newspaper clippings, and photographs.
