The Hotel and casino restaurants subseries (1930-2010) contains materials from restaurants and other dining services located inside hotels and casinos in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. The area includes neighborhoods and municipalities inside the Greater Las Vegas Valley, such as Henderson, North Las Vegas, and Paradise. The materials include menus, wine lists, event programs, staged show programs, room service menus, banquet menus, and press releases. The series contains menus from notable restaurants such as the Painted Desert Room at the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino, Circus Maximus at Caesars Palace, and Don the Beachcomber at the Sahara. Event menus and programs are from stage shows and convention banquets.
The Freestanding restaurant subseries (1901-2007) contains materials from restaurants in Las Vegas, Nevada that are not associated with hotels and casinos, otherwise known as freestanding restaurants. Of note are menus from culinary events hosted by by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) College of Hotel Administration, now the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. Restaurant menus include historic Las Vegas restaurants such as Andre's French Restaurant, the Alpine Village Inn, and Fong's Garden. This subseries also contains hospital menus from Sunrise Hospital.
