The "Las Vegas: Snapshots of History" Photograph Collection is comprised of photographic prints and slides as well as digital surrogates of photographic prints and ephemera representing architecture and events in Las Vegas, Nevada from approximately 1960 to 2017. Materials were donated by members of the Las Vegas community as part of a community scanning day sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities' Common Heritage grant. The majority of the collection documents landmarks in Las Vegas including the Stardust Resort and Casino, The Mint Las Vegas, Fremont Street, and the Desert Inn.

The Katherine Hoenig Arai Photograph Collection dates from 1941 to 1942, and contains black-and-white photographic prints of the owner and founder of the El Rancho Vegas, Thomas E. Hull and his wife Jerry. Images depict the Hulls posing inside and out in front of the hotel shortly after its opening, as well as a and also a portrait of Hull.

The UNLV Libraries Collection of Gaming Industry Promotional Materials and Reports (1946-2019) includes press releases, promotional materials, press kits and clippings for hotels and casinos located throughout Nevada, with the majority of Nevada-based properties located in Las Vegas or Reno. Other locations include Atlantic City, New Jersey and some international hotels and casinos. The collection also contains promotional materials for various Nevada-based gaming companies and corporations, such as press releases, press kits, and product brochures.

The UNLV Libraries Collection of Hilton Hotels Corporation Promotional Materials and Financial Reports includes promotional materials, press materials, photographs, financial reports, and newspaper and magazine clippings for Hilton Hotels Corporation located in Tysons Corner, Virginia, and the Flamingo Hilton and Las Vegas Hilton located in Las Vegas, Nevada dating from 1964 to 2007.

Oral history interview with Laura Taylor conducted by Claytee D. White on December 03, 2008 and December 08, 2008 for the All That Jazz Oral History Project. Taylor discusses opening for Don Rickles at the Desert Inn Hotel, and performing at the Desert Inn’s Starlight Theater. Taylor recalls performing on television, appearing on radio shows, making disco music, and meeting many celebrities as a jazz musician.

Oral history interview with Jonathan S. "Jon" Sparer, FAIA conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee D. White on August 29, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Sparer discusses his involvement in the Jewish, and LGBTQ+ communites, and his career as an architect in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also talks about working on projects that included The Mirage Hotel and Casino, the Congregation Ner Tamid, and The Center (The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada).

Oral history interview with Elsie Whipple conducted by Hugo A. Cascos Jr. on March 22, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Whipple discusses Southern Nevada history and recalls the construction of Boulder (Hoover) Dam. Whipple also recalls the first hotels and casinos to open on the Las Vegas, Nevada Strip, and her work as a missionary with the Mormon Church.
