This photograph has three images. The first one (0272_0017) rotated to the left reads, "High mixing plant (blending and mixing plant," as a handwritten inscription. The second one (0272_0018) reads "Shay engine used at mixing plant. Instead of pistons or drivers, wheels are turned by screws; screw driven," as a handwritten inscription. The third one (0272_0019) is a picture of two people, and it reads, "York and Georgia at screening plant,"on the back.

Always looking for a hammer, or bar, when it was time to climb over the top." The second one (0272_0079) reads, "Drilling jumbo in mouth of spillway tunnel," as a handwritten inscription. The third image (0272_0080) reads, "Nevada spillway with flood gates lowered. Notice size of man in gates. Constructed to prevent flood waters from overflowing dam. Each spillway - capable of passing 200,00 cu. ft. per second."
This photograph has four images. The first one (0272_0087) shows a Six Companies Inc. employee card in name of J.T. Kizziar, dated Sept. 15, 1933, Pass #3036. The second image (0272_0088) depicts a J.T. Kizziar's Six Companies credit card for use in Boulder City. The third one (0272_0089) shows a visitors pass for the Boulder Canyon Project. The pass was needed to travel in and out of the area controlled by the Department of the Interior. The fourth image (0272_0090) shows a memorial erected in honor of the men who lost their lives in the construction of the dam. It was dedicated by the Boulder City Central Labor Council, May 1935.

Entrance gate to Pahrump Valley Company which includes the hotel, ranch, school, homes, etc in 1916. Notice water flowing across road; it was from an artesian well and was used for irrigation. Handwritten inscription on back of photo reads, "1916 entrance gate to Pahrump Valley Compny Ranch,Store, School; hotel, boarding house, bunk house, blacksmith shop, duplex homes, implement shed, home of ranch foreman. Notoce water flowingacross the road. From the spring, pools artesian well across corrall & fields where it was ditched for irrigation." It also has this stamp on the back, Pahrump Tribune P. O. Box218A Pahrump, NV 89041.
