Geagley, William C., 1890-1971

William Carl Geagley was a civilian observer at the Nevada Test Site during Operation Plumbbob from June 8, 1957 to June 30, 1957. Born July 21, 1890, Geagley graduated from Michigan State College in 1913 with a B.S. in Sciences and Agriculture. A high school science and agriculture teacher, he later worked as a chemical researcher and Chief of the Clinical Laboratory Division of the Michigan Department of Agriculture. In the 1950s he was appointed as a regional Civil Defense Coordinator for the Lansing, MI area.

Dale Burton Dorothy was born in 1910 in South Dakota. He married Gwendolyn Dorothy and they had a daughter named Sheila Lee Dorothy. Dale B. Dorothy died in 1982 at the age of 72.

Downs, Sheree L., 1956-

Born on April 2, 1956, Sheree Downs worked as a concert photographer for the vocal trio the Lettermen from 1976 to 1978. The Lettermen performed at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada twice a year during that time, and Downs accompanied them on these trips. She made personal visits to Las Vegas after she stopped working for the singing group, during which she documented the landscape through the eyes of a visitor. As of 2020, Sheree Downs lives in Colorado.

DuBois, John B., 1921-

Republican Assemblyman from Clark County, Nevada John B. DuBois was born in West Point, New York on November 28, 1921. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a BS in journalism and did his graduate work in marketing and communications at the University of Southern California. After moving to Las Vegas he was the director of Corporate Communications for Southwest Gas Corporation from 1964 to 1976.

Eadington, William R.

University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) Professor William R. Eadington joined the faculty as an economist in 1969. He was the first holder of the Philip J. Satre Chair in Gaming Studies, a professor of economics, and founding director of the Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming at UNR.

Early, Charles Alvin, Jr., 1924-2012

Charles Alvin (Tod) Early Jr. was born in Yerington, Nevada and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1963. He started Central Credit Inc., the first credit check company for casinos to check credit worthiness of gamblers. He later sold the company to Chilton Corporation. He passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 9, 2012.

Gill, Benjamin

Benjamin Gill arrived in Goldfield from Seattle, Washington around 1905. An accountant, Gill worked for a number of mining and brokerage companies. From 1906, he was secretary and local agent for the Begole Mining Syndicate, owned by mining financier, F. H. Begole, of Marquette, Michigan. He also acted as secretary for the Nevada Registration and Trust Company of Goldfield.
